Project Overview:

This bedroom was originally part of a golf clubhouse sales area that was later converted into a single-family residence. Construction was underway to carve out an owner’s bedroom and bathroom suite from the former open-concept space, creating the opportunity to establish a serene and intentional retreat within a large footprint.

The primary objective was to furnish the room while creating a peaceful haven that embraced the surrounding natural views. Preserving the expansive outdoor sightlines was a priority, along with achieving an upscale aesthetic without relying on excessive accessories or artwork. To establish scale and visual structure, a chevron-patterned wood-look wallpaper was selected for the bed wall. This feature anchored the generously sized upholstered king bed while highlighting its warm wood detailing. Soft, neutral bedding and tailored banded draperies with a streamlined cornice were introduced to frame the windows without competing with the lush landscape beyond.

Subtle layers of the client’s favorite shade of blue were incorporated through accent pillows, a sapphire-toned bench at the foot of the bed, and matching blue lamps atop the nightstands. These elements added depth and interest while maintaining a calm, cohesive palette. The finished space balances refinement and restraint, resulting in a tranquil bedroom that feels both luxurious and deeply connected to its natural surroundings.
